Experimental Study on Droplet Characteristics of Rotating Sprinklers with Circular Nozzles and Diffuser

The characteristics of spray droplets are important for calculating the hydraulic performance sprinklers. In order to evaluate effects working pressure and nozzle diameter on near ground droplet Nelson R33 sprinkler, an experiment was conducted test size velocity by using a two-dimensional video disdrometer (2DVD). Based water application rate, velocity, kinetic energy calculated. results show that there is exponential positive correlation between range volume-weighted mean particle (VMD). average single fits well with power function model.
